Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Arxhold escrow platform, operated by Arxhold Technologies, Inc. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them — especially the sections on escrow, fees, disputes, and liability.
In short: Arxhold holds funds and documents deals between two parties. We are not a party to your transaction, not a bank, and not a guarantor of any item. Both sides must be KYC-verified, fees are shown up front, and disputes are decided by a human arbiter with a 24-hour appeal window.
1 · Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You must complete identity verification (KYC) before opening a transaction. You're responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
2 · What Arxhold is
Arxhold provides an escrow and documentation service for peer-to-peer transactions. We facilitate the agreement, hold funds through licensed payment partners, coordinate optional agent inspections, and maintain a signed audit trail. We are not a party to your deal, do not take title to any item, and do not guarantee the conduct, identity beyond verification, or performance of any counterparty.
3 · The escrow flow
- Create — either party drafts the terms (item, price, condition, return window); the other counter-signs. Nothing moves until both agree.
- Fund — the buyer funds escrow. Funds are held by our licensed payment partners (Flutterwave by default, Stripe as alternate) and are not accessible to the seller until release.
- Inspect — a verified agent inspects the item, or the buyer self-inspects within the agreed window. Findings are documented.
- Release — on approval, funds are released to the seller. On rejection or dispute, funds remain in escrow pending the process in §6.
Milestone deals split a project into independently funded, inspected, and released stages; each stage follows the same flow.
4 · Agents & inspections
Any verified user may opt to become an agent. Agents are KYC-verified and background-documented, matched by proximity (within 50 km by default), and paid a flat inspection fee whether they approve or reject. An agent's role is to document the item honestly, not to adjudicate the deal. An inspection outcome is evidence, not a final ruling — the buyer may still accept a rejected item, and disputes remain available.
5 · Fees
Our pricing is shown before you commit and printed on the receipt:
- Platform fee — 5% per transaction (or per milestone), minimum $1, capped at $500.
- Agent inspection fee — $15 flat when an agent inspection is selected, escrowed at funding, buyer-paid by default.
By default the buyer pays the platform fee; either party may absorb or split it if set on the deal terms before both sign. The agent fee is earned once the agent submits a verdict, whether approve or reject.
6 · Disputes & appeals
If a deal goes sideways, either party may open a dispute within the agreed inspection window and submit evidence. A human Arxhold arbiter reviews the audit trail, photos, and both sides' submissions, then rules — full refund, partial refund, or release. A 24-hour appeal window follows every ruling before any funds move; an appeal escalates to senior review. Funds remain in escrow throughout.
7 · Acceptable use
You agree not to use Arxhold for illegal goods or services, fraud, money laundering, or transactions you're not authorized to make. You may not misrepresent items, manipulate inspections or disputes, circumvent fees, or abuse other users or agents. We may suspend or refuse transactions that breach these terms or applicable law.
8 · Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is." We do not warrant the quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of any item, nor the truthfulness of any user. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arxhold is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our aggregate liability for any transaction is limited to the fees we earned on that transaction. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9 · Termination
You may close your account at any time; open transactions must first be resolved. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, legal requirements, or risk to the platform or its users. Obligations that by nature survive — fees owed, audit records, liability limits — continue after termination.
10 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Arxhold Technologies, Inc. is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes with Arxhold will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law grants you rights in your place of residence.
11 · Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes are notified in-app or by email, and the version and date above always reflect the current text. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
