About Arxhold

Trust, made procedural.

Arxhold exists to take the fear out of trading with strangers. We hold the money, send a human to check the goods, and document every step — so a deal with someone you've never met feels as safe as one with someone you have.

Why we exist

The deals you'd rather not wire.

Peer-to-peer trade runs on a standoff. The buyer won't send money to a stranger; the seller won't ship before payment. High-ticket items — a vintage camera, a watch, a Defender, a domain — make the standoff worse, because the amount at risk is real.

Arxhold turns that standoff into a sequence. Funds wait in a vault held by licensed payment partners. A verified agent meets the seller and inspects the item. Only on approval does money move — and every step is timestamped, signed, and downloadable. The awkward parts of trading with strangers become routine.

Origin

It started with a deal that almost didn't happen.

Two people, two cities, one high-value item, and no reason to trust each other. One side had to move first — send the money, or ship the goods — and neither would. The deal died in the messages, the way most private-market deals quietly do.

We thought the fix shouldn't be more trust. It should be less need for it. So we built escrow that holds the money, sends a human to verify the item, and writes everything down — the kind of paper trail that ends arguments before they start. Boring on purpose. Watertight by design.

Maya funded escrow. An Amsterdam agent confirmed the shutter count at 4,212 and signed off. Theo was paid the next morning — an illustrative example.

How it works, in short

Four steps from handshake to settled.

Every Arxhold transaction follows the same documented sequence. Both sides always know exactly where the money is, and why it hasn't moved yet.

What we believe

Principles we don't bend.

Neutral by design

Agents are paid the same flat fee whether they approve or reject. Their loyalty is to the truth of the inspection, never the size of the sale.

Documented, not trusted

Fund, ship, inspect, release, dispute — every action is timestamped and signed. Export the full audit trail as a signed PDF at any time.

We never hold your money

Funds sit with licensed payment partners — Stripe and Flutterwave — until release. Never on our balance sheet. We only authorize movement.

Humans make the calls

Disputes go to a real arbiter who reviews the trail and both sides' evidence. No automated kangaroo court, no chargeback roulette.

Boring on purpose

We'd rather be predictable than clever. The same sequence, the same receipts, the same appeal window — every deal, every time.

Transparent by default

5% platform fee, capped at $500. $15 flat for an agent. Shown up front, printed on the receipt. That's the entire pricing model.

Trust & safety

Watertight by design.

Security isn't a feature we bolted on — it's the whole product. Here's what stands behind every transaction.

KYC on both sides

Both parties verify identity before a deal can open. Agents are additionally background-documented before they take a job.

Licensed custody

Funds are held by Stripe and Flutterwave under their licenses until release — never operationally touched by us.

Human arbitration

A real arbiter rules on disputes, with a 24-hour appeal window before any funds move. Appeals escalate to senior review.

Signed audit trail

Every action is logged, timestamped, and cryptographically signed — downloadable as a PDF that ends arguments.
